We run so many products on the AMT™ Monoblock machine for the last couple of years. We do mostly liquid filling and screw capping, but sometimes filling and stoppering with full or partial insertion. We could also do filling, stoppering, and capping at the same time. Often we do changeover twice a day. During my 20 years of experience I have worked with many different liquid packaging systems, and I have not seen such a flexible machine before. This machine is so simple to operate, but it is very versatile, it can be easily set up for hundreds of different products. Adjustments are done by the computer via servo mechanisms, by calling a part number from the touch screen. Change parts like star-wheel for bottle index and track for screw caps or capping chuck are easily replaced without using any tools. I can set up the machine in minutes for any of the bottles in our range, from single milliliters up to 500 ml, and I can walk out of the production room, the machine will run production for me. I can even set up to reliably run PP bottles with PP screw caps, which have a tendency to jam, and we were trying them in the past on many different machines without much success. The peristaltic tubing is easily accessible outside of the machine. Tubing and nozzles are usually disposable, sometimes we sterilize the tubing. Filler is maintaining consistent fills, and I make volume adjustments only occasionally by touching the touch screen, without stopping the production. The screw capping servo torquer is so precise and consistent that we do not even have to check the torque any more. This is one of the best machines that I worked with and the only machine that can run so many different products, and surprisingly, it has a very small footprint.

I am also responsible for production on the AMT™ Inline Filler. This machine is doing liquid filling only, but I love this machine. For change parts, there are only two feed screws with quick disconnect, and we are running many different bottles from 4ml to 250 ml. We could fill larger bottles, but we have an old capping machine down the line that is the only limitation at this moment. On the AMT™ Inline Filler, I just replace the peristaltic tubing and disposable nozzles with easy access, and all the rest is set up by the computer. From a touch screen, I can set up servo nozzles just right for effective suck back and clean production. With a servo controlled feed screw I can move bottles fast and without splashing the product, and once all is set up for a particular product, the next time I just need to call the part number from the screen to run that product. This machine requires practically no maintenance.
